&lt;P&gt;The competition bills itself as, and I’ll quote directly from their web site:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;“It's the Super Bowl of Swine. The College of Pig Knowledge. The Granddaddy of Grills. The Largest Pork Barbecue Cooking Contest on the Planet.”&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Sooooo, this is the largest pork competition in the world, and North Carolina is the pork barbecue capital of the world, you’d think we’d be heavily represented. Right???? Wrong. &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;From the brochure, 258 teams competed.&amp;nbsp; How many of those are from our home state of North Carolina, where we are so passionate about our BBQ, that we argue about it??? 2 (two), yes, let me repeat that – 2 teams. &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;TN appears, by far to have the most represented teams.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Now why is that? The traveling distance, scheduling conflicts, other?&amp;nbsp; Unfortunately, I don’t know the answer to this one, but felt it should be known.&amp;nbsp; Do you compete in these?&amp;nbsp; Have any insight for us all?&lt;/P&gt;
