Hillbillys Barbeque and Steaks in Gastonia

    Hillbillys Barbeque & Steaks
    930 East Garrison Blvd.
    Gastonia, NC  28054

This is the one kinda downtown, not the one you can see from I-85 (but owned by the same Hillbilly!).

Very dry and pretty chewy with good smoke flavor.  Dip was very good - kinda sweet and thick. Cole-slaw was really good - chopped fairly fine with lots of good creamy dressing. BBQ beans were soupy with slightly spicy taste. Puppies were okay and served with hot dip. Good tea. $6.99 (1/2 off Senior discount = 3.50) plus tea (1.59) & tax & tip = $6.48.

    Rated a 3.0 on my 1.0 to 5.0 scale.
